We strive to teach you and give you the necessary tools to take control of your health and achieve greater enjoyment out of your life.
Chiropractic is a highly effective approach to the mechanical and structural components of spinal pain, rehabilitation, health, and overall body wellness. Here at Broadmead BetterBack, we believe in a team approach to your health care. We will work together with your medical doctor and other health specialists to ensure that you receive the best comprehensive care possible.
A Special Note from one of our Patients:
RAISING AWARENESS FOR EHLERS-DANLOS SYNDROME! Ehlers-Danlos Syndrom (EDS) is a chronic, potentially life-threatening connective tissue disorder caused by a defect in the body's collagen. Collagen is the "glue" that holds bones, joints and organ systems together. For people with EDS, constant pain, frequent joint dislocations, and chronic fatigue are considered "normal". Cardiac problems, digestive disorders, and autonomic nervous system dysfunction often come hand-in-hand with EDS. For more information, please visit the following link: What is EDS?
You need to believe in us.
It may seem absolutely unreal to imagine going through life the way we do.
A life of neverending pain, discomfort, medicine, doctors, needles, hospitals...
It goes on and on... and so do we.
Even for us it still seems unreal on some days.
And yet for the most part, we look perfectly normal.
If you can't see it, how do you know it's there?
Nobody can see chronic pain.
We see what that pain does, but we cannot see what it looks like.
There are no broken bones or open wounds, only a silence few can hear.
Open your heart. Don't judge. Please don't make assumptions.
And most importantly, love. Just Love!
A little-known treatment by a Canadian-born chiropractor to the stars may be the key to his comeback. - MacLean's (Nov. 3, 2011).
The decision to pursue chiropractic rather than medical school was a “very calculated coin toss,” says [Ted] Carrick, because, as a lifelong martial artist (he still does karate), it seemed more in line with his preference for natural means of healing and well-being. ...
"Carrick had a very prominent role in Sidney’s current recovery status,” Brisson, Crosby’s agent, told Maclean’s. “He progressed extremely well under Carrick.” Just 10 days after the press conference, Crosby joined his teammates on the ice for the first day of training camp. Three-and-a-half weeks after that, Crosby was cleared for contact—the final step before returning to play. Now, after nearly a year of nagging symptoms that have included fogginess, light-headedness and nausea so paralyzing Crosby couldn’t drive or watch TV, and after a slew of setbacks each time he pushed too hard while exercising or skating, the greatest hockey player of this generation is verging on a comeback—perhaps because of a relatively unknown therapy he received at a relatively unknown university from a relatively unknown man who isn’t even a medical doctor.
... and that: Medication appeared to be the least effective treatment for neck pain.
"For me, as an ER doctor, this study offers an interesting perspective," said Dr. Robert Glatter, an attending physician in emergency medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. "It's a small study, but it found that home exercises and spinal manipulation were effective. So, should we be referring to physical therapists, osteopaths or chiropractors from the ER?"
- In our opinion... the answer to that question is "Definitely, YES!"
"Observational study found that low back pain patients receiving chiropractic care, which typically includes spinal manipulation, are more satisfied than those receiving medical care." - New England Journal of Medicine

Our VISION is to improve the health of the community we live in, and as part of vision we donate time and money to a variety of local child and family centred charities.
Our most recent event was a fun charitable event we called
The PHILANTHROPY CUP :-)
During the race for the cup, 4 chiropractic offices in town competed to see who could raise the most money for The Cridge Center for the Family in a single month! Together, the doctors at the BetterBack clinic donated over $1100!
We also support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria. Together with some other local chiropractors, we have donated over $12,000.00 to Big Brothers Big Sisters Victoria to benefit local children.
