Denyce Hoffman, LMT
“I came into massage work through my own personal journey of looking for a solution to physical pain. Before entering the healing arts, I worked in the business environment in denyce.jpgcorporate America for twenty-four years and had always relied on Western Medicine to alleviate stress and ‘cure’ stress-related illness—it didn’t happen. Only through chiropractic did I begin to become aware that there was more cooperation needed from me with mind, body, and spirit connected.

My entry into holistic healing was learning the practice of Reiki (transferring healing energy) … I was hooked immediately! Very shortly thereafter I became interested in massage work and enrolled in the National Academy of Massage Therapy Sciences in Kulpsville, PA. There, I earned my diploma as a Certified Massage Therapist.  I enjoy continuing on the path of health and wellness, and trained in Shiatsu and Craniosacral therapy.  I am also a Reiki Master/Practitioner.

This is truly a labor of love, and my wish is to continue on this journey of being educated in and practicing holistic healing therapies. I am grateful and privileged to be part of the integrative holistic work of healing.

I have been married to Ken Hoffman for seventeen years and have three wonderful children.”

"In 2001, a knee injury forced me out of work for two years and gave me time to think about what I really wanted to do with my life. While I went through physical therapy, I developed an interest in the anatomy of the human body. Massage Therapy seemed the logical path for me to help people with injuries or chronic pain that prevents them from achieving their goals in life."

Graduating from the Pennsylvania School of Massage Therapy in Quakertown, PA over 8 years ago, Mark has been working in various settings.

Mark’s specialties include: Deep tissue massage, Sports massage, Therapeutic massage, Swedish, Craniosacral therapy, Trigger point therapy, Reiki, Active Isolated Stretching (Aaron Mattes), and Pain Management (James Wyslosky).

His thirst for health and wellness is leading him to the path of Chiropractic. He will be attending New York Chiropractic College in two-three years. A native to Lansdale, Mark attended North Penn High and graduated with Dr. Portolese (don’t ask what year!). Mark attended the Lansdale School of Business 2002 – 2004 and currently attends Montgomery County Community College to complete his prerequisites for Chiropractic school. Mark is married to his beautiful wife, Pamela and they have an Australian Shepherd named Ripley.

His devotion to our community includes his past volunteer work at Relay for Life, Home at Last Dog Rescue, Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, North Penn Boys and Girls Club, Kelly Ann Dolan Foundation, Montgomery County Community College, North Penn Chamber of Commerce, Buck County Chamber of Commerce.

"I appreciate the opportunity to become a part of your healthy lifestyle and will support you in any way that you need to get to your health goals."

CranioSacral Therapy
CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle method of detection and correction that encourages your own natural healing mechanisms to dissipate the negative effects of stress on your central nervous system. This therapy can allow for the release of physical, mental and emotional tension; thus, you also benefit from better overall health and resistance to disease.

Moreover, CranioSacral Therapy is suitable for all ages from infants to the elderly.

CranioSacral Therapy strengthens your body’s ability to take better care of you. As relaxation increases with CranioSacral Therapy, circulation improves, bringing about a host of positive effects, such as increased energy, reduced pain and improved immune system function. It also helps alleviate a range of illness, pain and dysfunction, including:

•    Migraines and Headaches
•    Chronic Neck and Back Pain
•    Stress and Tension-Related Problems (including anxiety, nervousness, insomnia, depression, digestive, menstrual and other problems with organ function, and breathing difficulties)
•    Infantile Disorders (birth trauma, learning difficulties, chronic ear problems and hyperactivity)
•    Emotional Difficulties
•    Musculoskeletal Conditions (whiplash, TMJD, sciatica, fibromyalgia, scoliosis, arthritis, and chronic pain)

Swedish & Therapeutic Massage
Swedish massage is a gentle, soothing technique used to release stress, increase circulation and relax tense muscles. Along with deep breathing exercises, Swedish massage can bring you to a general sense of well being.

Therapeutic massage is used to target those problem areas that need more attention, such as body spasms in the low back or a stiff, sore neck area.

Combining the two types of massage, you’ll feel the daily stresses of life slowly disappear as your mind and body experience total relaxation.

Reiki
Reiki healing is practiced by the ‘laying on of hands.’ It is an ancient method of gentle touch that traces its origins to Tibetan Buddhism. REI means ‘universal’ and also refers to the spiritual dimensions of the soul. KI means the ‘vital life force energy,’ which flows through all that is alive.

Reiki flows in a spiraling pattern that is fundamental in nature, the universe and the structure of DNA. It is a gentle offering of unconditional love as it heals, harmonizing practitioner and client. Reiki is a technique for total relaxation and stress relief that is easily used with medical and other techniques. It is safe for all ages, from premature babies to the elderly or infirm. Reiki energizes the body safely and quickly. It allows the mind and body to heal themselves.
Reiki shares will be periodically scheduled throughout the year. Please call the office to check availability.
