I grew up in Newport Michigan, graduated from Monroe Catholic Central.  My interest in Chiropractic began when my dad met a Chiropractor, Dr Roger O’Dell.  My dad suffered with lower back and knee pain.  Dr O’Dell asked my dad to visit his office, claiming he could help with the pain.  After a few adjustments, he was pain free.  This is when I decided Chiropractic was for me.  I had a real interest in healing and promoting health and wellness.

I graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina in 1994, and moved to Jackson where my parents had relocated.  I opened my office in 1996 with the help of Dr Max and Sue Hensley, at their office on S West Avenue.  In 1999 I moved to my own office on Spring Arbor road.  The original office was 1500 square feet, within a few years the office had grown to add the suite next door.  Soon after, we needed more space.  That is when we found our new office on Greenwood Ave. in December 2008.

I have been an active Century Club member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors for 15 years.  I regularly attend postgraduate seminars to stay proficient with the latest technology.  I was one of the first Chiropractors in Michigan to use the Pulstar adjusting instrument.  The instrument allows me to adjust patients in a less evasive, more comfortable way.  With computerized analysis I can show my patients the improvement in the alignment of their spine after an adjustment.  There is an actual screen showing the” before and after” graph.  This data along with other clinical information obtained is used to determine the most effective course of treatment, to obtain the best results in the shortest amount of time.
I have 3 daughters, Paige, Pariz and Mena.  My wife Katherine is the office manager, and runs her own company “Smart Buy Chiropractic Supply”.

Dr. Daniel Painter, a Hillsdale native, joined the practice on August 30, 2010 as an associate chiropractor. Dr. Painter graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Albion College in 2006 and completed his chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in February 2010, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors.

Dr. Painter believes that true health can only be achieved with a lifestyle that includes chiropractic adjustments. “Our nervous system controls everything in our bodies,” said Dr. Painter, “if there is interference in the transmission of information between our brain and our bodies, we can’t achieve our full potential.”

An active member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, Dr. Painter is trained in several chiropractic techniques including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, Flexion Distraction, and Pulstar instrument adjusting.

Dr. Painter uses a “whole person approach” when taking care of his patients. By combining the very best hands-on technique and providing the newest and best in instrument adjusting; Dr. Painter is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health. Dr. Painter frequently attends post-graduate seminars to provide his patients with the most modern and up-to-date care possible.

As a chiropractor, Dr. Painter is committed to promoting the health and well being of his patients. “I have been given a great opportunity with this position,” Dr. Painter said, “I am excited to be able to work with patients in the Jackson area. I am a small town guy and I am happy to work in a small town practice and spend time getting to know my patients while helping them to achieve their health goals.”
