Active Life Chiropractic, takes great pride in providing the finest chiropractic and manual therapy care to our patients. Below is a sampling of the different chiropractic services offered in the Newburyport office.

Chiropractic Care

Dr. Palombo provides joint adjusting techniques utilizing the latest chiropractic techniques. Never in the history of chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists. These newer methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Adam Palombo has years of training and experience in both manual and instrument-assisted low-force spinal adjusting techniques. It is his job to utilize whichever technique pairs the best with your unique condition.

Graston Technique

Dr. Palombo also provides Graston technique. This is a form of instrument-assitsted manual therapy service that revolves around treating scar tissue within previously injured muscles. Often times, this scar tissue can limit the motion of joints and impair your ability to function pain free. Dr. Palombo is certified in Graston Technique, a technique originally developed on surgical scar tissues which, has chiropracitc applications to improving motion and decreasing musculoskeletal pain. Whether you have pain in your neck, back, shoulder, or knee -- even just chronically tight muscles, this technique may be for you. You can learn more about it at www.grastontechnique.com

Stability Exercises

Dr. Palombo teaches patients exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises are designed in to build endurance and strength and can be performed in the comfort of your own home. Combined with a specific program that emphasizes flexibility in key areas, these exercises can be part of a program that builds you a more stable, more resilient spine.

Lifestyle Advice

Dr. Palombo is a proponent of self-empowerment through education. Based upon your unique exam findings, incorporating certain advice on posture, ergonomics, and activity modification may make the difference in how your feel in the long run. He often finds it helpful to "coach" patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. The goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most.

Part of a complete lifestyle may include coaching on diet, sleep habits, or managing stress. In this way, he utilizes a wholistic view of you as a person, rather than a condition.
