Neuromuscular rehabilitation is a protocol of exercises to help re-coordinate specific muscles or muscle groups. It helps to restore proper joint movements.
This strengthens weakened muscles and relaxes overactive muscles. The exercise activities re-establish proper muscle firing patterns. Along with manual manipulation to joints and muscles.
We also use Kinesio-Tape to aid in re-coordination. When applied, the waterproof, elastic tape creates a stretch or contraction to muscle or muscle groups. This gives patients constant feedback not only in the office, but also outside of the office, as a reminder to maintain certain positions.
